pic_ching-e1492670551477.jpgDr. Kuo-En Ching is an Associate Professor for Crustal Deformation studies in the National Cheng Kung University. He completed his BS degree and PhD degree both from the Department of Earth Sciences in the National Cheng Kung University in 2001 and 2008 respectively. He also completed post doctorate studies from the Department of Geological Sciences, Indiana University, as well as from the Institute of Earth Sciences, Academica Sinica. He authored and co-authored several publications focused in his expertise including (1) Crustal deformation; (2) Earthquake potential estimation; and (3) Seismotectonics. His study areas include (1) whole of Taiwan; (2) Philippine faults (Leyte) and Mindoro; and (3) Himalayas (Nainital area, Uttarakhand).

Arturo Daag PhotoDr. Arturo Santos Daag is a Geologist and Geomorphologist by profession and is currently the Chief Science Research Specialist of the Geology, Geophysics Research and Development Division (GGRDD) of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). He took up Master of Science in Applied Geomorphology and Engineering Geology from the International Institute for Aerospace Survey and Earth Science in Enschede (ITC), The Netherlands then later on graduated with Doctor of Philosophy in Geology/Geomorphology from Utrecht University in The Netherlands.

A00_8454Dr. Masahiko Nagai is Deputy Director of the Center for Research and Application for Satellite Remote Sensing, Yamaguchi University, Japan. He is an Associate Professor of Graduate School of Sciences and Technology for Innovation, Yamaguchi University. He is also a Visiting Associate Professor of Technology, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand. He is an expert for Space Utilization Engineering. His current research focuses on Spatial Information Engineering, such as Remote Sensing, GIS, and GNSS application. He is currently applying space technology for innovative business development with regional revitalization.

HPacisEngr. Henry P. Pacis is the OIC Assistant Director of the Land Management Bureau and concurrently the National Coordinator of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program original titling component, under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Philippines. He has been part of the implementation of the land administration and management (LAM) reform program in the Philippines from 2001-2014. A land surveyor since 1989, he studied LAM practices in Australia, Thailand, and Laos, as part of developing the reform strategies for the Philippines. He prepared the roadmap in the implementation of the Land Sector Development Framework (LSDF) in the Philippines, a 20 year plan. He recently presented the major development on LAM in the Philippines during the 2015 Global Soil Week held in Berlin. He is a graduate of BS Geodetic Engineering from FEATI University, Manila and Master in Business Administration, (General Management) from International Academy of Management and Economics, Makati City.

Alias-v2Dr. Alias Abdul Rahman received his PhD from University of Glasgow, U.K in year 2000. Prior to his doctorate education, he spent two years in ITC, Enschede, The Netherlands from 1990 to 1991 for his postgraduate studies in GIS, both for his MSc and Pg. Dipl. His bachelor education started in London from 1984 to 1987 at North East London Polytechnic (a.k.a University of East London) and Diploma in Land Surveying at UTM from 1980 to 1983. His research, academic and professional activities both local and international focuses on 3D Geoinformation or 3D GIS. He is the founder of 3D Geoinfo International Conference series since 2006 until today as well as the founder of GeoAdvances International Conference series since 2012. Country representative for UDMS (Urban Data Management Society) since 2007. He is involved with the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Commission 2 WG Multi-dimensional from 2008–2012. Currently he is a board member for Federation International Geomatics (FIG) Commission 2 WG Professional Education and Accreditation as well as FIG Commission 7 for WG 3D Cadastre. Recently appointed as an Editor for IJ3DIM (International Journal for 3D Information Modelling) by IGI Global publishing house. He also an editor and author for several books with Springer-Verlag, German publishing house as well as reviewer for various renowned international journals in GIS including IJGIS, ISPRS journal, KSCE journal, Geo Journal. He is a visiting professor at the Stuttgart University of Applied Science (a.k.a HFT Stuttgart), Germany and 3D city modelling technical advisor for BIMTAS IBB Istanbul, Turkey.
